Dickinson & Morris has been baking pork pies in Melton Mowbray since 1851. They are the oldest remaining bakers of the authentic Melton Mowbray Pork Pie in the town centre today. In 1992, after fire had devastated the period style building, Samworth Brothers bought the property and carried out extensive refurbishment and renovation in conjunction with English Heritage. Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe reopened in October of that year, and re-established the town’s envied position as the centre of excellence for all pork pies.
Premium ingredients, time-honoured recipes and attention to detail have made the Dickinson & Morris name what it is today. The host of awards collected by both Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe and The Sausage Shop next door – through the pork pies, sausages and most importantly the staff – along with media recognition, reflects this achievement.
What we did…
Smiths Retail Design were brought in to update the look and feel of the shop with new, more modern, flat fronted serveovers, fitted shelving and multidecks. Smiths Retail Design supplied all the heated and refrigerated serve over counters, back prep tables, fitted shelving, multidecks and a mobile display table.
Smiths Retail Design are much more than just suppliers of counters, we get involved in the planning and design of the whole project. Our CAD and 3D design knowledge can put 2D layouts and visuals together, accurately portraying a completed refit of counters. Don’t invest in a counter or shop refit until you have seen one of our installations or arranged for a no obligation consultation. If you require any further information, or indeed if a meeting would prove beneficial to you, then please feel free to contact us
